Sensus®foam is a viscoelastic memory foam that is 5lb/ft3 in density. The Virgo 8” is medium-firm and comes with a full 3” of 5.3lb Sensus® foam; and has a nice comfortable, yet supportive feel.
Sensus® Foam offers you luxurious sleeping comfort that ordinary memory foams simply can’t match. That’s because Sensus® Foam is a product of highly advanced engineering that allows it to respond to your individual body temperature and form. This allows it to actually shape itself around your body and relieve pressure. The result is an individualized sleep surface that adjusts to your body every time you change position. In addition, not only does Sensus® Foam outperform ordinary foams—it outperforms all other temperature-sensitive memory foams, too. Another very important characteristic of Sensus® Memory Foam is that it doesn’t lose its firmness over time like many other memory foams can. Memory foam from Asia, sold by many big box retailers and online stores, has been reported to soften up significantly after a year or even a few months of use. Even after tests simulating ten years of use, Sensus® Foam retained over 95% of its firmness.
Orthopedic Base Foam
- The Virgo 8” comes with a 5” orthopedic base foam layer that rests beneath the memory foam layer and provides a strong and firm base. In addition, the base has extra support in the middle of the bed for added back and hip support. The base foam layer is 2.2 lb/ft3 and the firmness rating is 30+ ILD.

Designed for a Cool and Comfortable Sleep
The Virgo 8” was specifically designed to give you a cool and comfortable night’s rest. In addition to using open-cell memory foam that “breathes”, the Virgo 8” has a built-in Airflow Chamber to aid in heat dissipation. The Airflow Chamber lies between the orthopedic base foam and memory foam comfort layer. As you sleep at night, heat that builds up in memory foam flows into the airflow chamber and out the side of your mattress. For an added level of coolness, the Virgo 8” can be ordered with a COOLMAX® cover.
Dupont COOLMAX® Cover:
The COOLMAX® stretch cover is remarkably smooth and comfortable. It has zippers and is easily removed for quick machine washing. The COOLMAX® stretch cover, using highly advanced technology developed by the DuPont® Company, gently whisks away moisture as you sleep. Think of it as Under Armour® for your bed. In conjunction with open cell memory foam and an airflow chamber, the COOLMAX® cover will provide you with the coolest sleep possible.
Hypoallergenic and Dust Mite Proof
The Virgo 8” is hypoallergenic and dust mite resistant. The average mattress doubles in weight over the course of ten years due to dust mites and dead skin cells that accumulate inside the mattress. Fortunately, you can avoid becoming part of this disgusting statistic. Dust mites cannot live in a memory foam mattress. As an added level of protection, The Virgo 8” comes with an inner cover that blocks dust mites, bed bugs, and dust particles from getting between the layers of your mattress. In addition, the cover is also fire safe, using Select Foam’s FlameBlocker technology, keeping you and your loved ones safe.
